Disk Array
WebBIOS manages Disk Array by a number beginning with 0. You can see a number of Disk Array
where [DG X] in Physical Drives and Virtual Drives.
Universal RAID Utility manages Disk Array by a number beginning with 1. You can see a number
of Disk Array where [Disk Array] in the property of Logical Drive on RAID Viewer or [RAID
Controller #X Disk Array #Y] in the property of Disk Array on raidcmd.
Physical Drive and Hard Disk Drive
WebBIOS manages Physical Drive by two numbers (Slot number and Connector number, beginning
with 0). You can view these numbers shown by [x:x:x] in Physical Drives box. You can view these
numbers on Physical Drives properties.
Universal RAID Utility manages hard disk drive by a number beginning with 1 and ID, Enclosure
number, and Slot number. The numbers of hard disk drives connected to the controller are sorted in
ascending order based on ID and assigned number beginning with 1, starting from the smallest
number. The ID is same value of Slot number shown in WebBIOS. Enclosure number and Slot
number are assigned with a number beginning with 1. To view these numbers on Universal RAID
Utility, select properties of the hard disk drive and see [Number] and [ID], [Enclosure], and [Slot]
(RAID Viewer), or [RAID Controller #X Physical Drive #Y] and [ID], [Enclosure], and [Slot]
(raidcmd).
