Installing the Operating System
SETUP AND RE-SETUP OF CPU BLADE OF DISKLESS
MODEL
Local Installation
Before the installation, make sure that the CPU blade is connected with the keyboard, display unit,
DVD-ROM drive and floppy disk drive. If any device is not connected, always connect it to the
CPU blade.
Notes
Before starting the local installation, read the notes described here carefully.
SAN Boot/Storage and I/O Blade AD106a Boot
If you use SAN Boot/Storage and I/O Blade AD106a Boot, confirm BIOS Setup before setup
Windows.
If you use N8403-027, set following BIOS setting.
[Advanced]
→
[Peripheral Configuration]
→
[SATA AHCI] and [SATA RAID] change to
[Disabled].
If you use N8403-026, set following BIOS setting.
[Advanced]
→
[PCI Configuration]
→
Option ROM Scan [Enabled]
→
[Disabled]
IMPORTANT:
After executing [Load Setup Defaults], set this BIOS
setting. If you do not set up BIOS setting, you could not install
Windows.
Key Entry
Conduct key entries while the access lamp on the USB floppy disk drive is off (or the floppy disk is
not accessed).
