Configuring and Breaking Mirror
This section describes the procedures to configure and break the mirror of hard disk volumes using
Disk Management.
Configuring mirror
Follow the procedures below to configure a volume mirror.
IMPORTANT:
Set mirror to the disks whose Target IDs are identical.
For details, see “Hard Disk Configurations that can be built on the NEC Express5800/ft series
(page 3-3).”
1.
Click [Start] - [Administrative Tools] then [Computer Management].
The [Computer Management] dialog box will appear.
2.
Click [Disk Management] under [Storage] in the console tree.
The [Disk Management] window will appear on the right panel.
3.
Insert a new disk. The disk will appear on the [Disk Management] window.
IMPORTANT:
If the status of the disk is “Not Initialized”, right-click the disk and initialize it.
If [Foreign] appears, right-click the disk and execute [Convert to Basic Disk…].
