Checking STATUS LEDs

Check the LED indication on the front of the NEC Express5800/ft series or on hard disks installed
in 3.5-inch hard disk drive bay when the server is powered on or powered off by the shut down
operation. The functions and indications of LEDs are described in Chapter 2. If any indication that
shows an error, contact your sales agent.

Making Backup Copies

NEC recommends you make backup copies of your valuable data stored in hard disks of the server
on a regular basis. For backup storage devices suitable for the server and backup tools, consult with
your sales agent.
