MULTIPLE CPU SYSTEM CONFIGURATION

11.2.2

Precautions for using I/O modules and intelligent function modules

(1) Applicable I/O modules

All I/O modules (QX  and QY ) can be used in the multiple CPU system.
Any of CPU No.1 to CPU No.4 can be set as a control CPU for each of them.

(2) Applicable intelligent function modules

(a) When using an intelligent function module in a multiple CPU system

The function version of the intelligent function module must be B or later.
Any of CPU No.1 to CPU No.4 can be set as a control CPU for it.

(b) Q series high-speed counter modules

The Q series high-speed counter modules (QD62, QD62D, and QD62E) support 
multiple CPU systems from function version A.
Any of CPU No.1 to CPU No.4 can be set as a control CPU for each of them.

(c) Q series interrupt modules

The Q series interrupt module does not have a function version, and can be used 
in multiple CPU systems.
Any of CPU No.1 to CPU No.4 can be set as a control CPU for it.

(3) Access range to controlled and non-controlled modules

In a multiple CPU system, a non-controlled module can be accessed by enabling "I/O 
sharing when using Multiple CPUs" in the <<Multiple CPU settings>> tab of C 
Controller setting utility.
For accessibility to the controlled and non-controlled modules in a multiple CPU 
system, refer to the following.

Remark

1. The function version of the intelligent function module can be checked on the 

rating plate on the module.
