Remote RESET

(1) What is remote RESET?

The remote RESET is a control from the user program or development environment 
(personal computer), by which the C Controller module or programmable controller 
CPU can be reset when it is in the STOP status.

(2) Applicable system configurations and methods

(a) Single CPU system configuration

The remote RESET can be executed by using the user program or development 
environment (personal computer).

(b) Multiple CPU system configuration

The following table shows the availability of the remote RESET in the multiple 
CPU system configuration.

: Available   : N/A

 * 1 Remote RESET cannot be executed from the C Controller module when remote STOP has been 

executed from another peripheral (GX Developer, etc.) 
Cancel the remote STOP from the peripheral.
For the remote operations of the programmable controller CPU, refer to the following manual.

(3) Application of the remote RESET

The C Controller module or programmable controller CPU can be remotely reset 
when an error occurs in the place where direct control of the RUN/STOP/MODE, 
RUN/STOP, or RUN/STOP/RESET switch on the CPU module is not available.
