Memory Backup

• IC5 (RAM) connected to the MSC Board stores the settings and adjustments made, and 

counter values entered using the Tech. Rep. Mode.

• IC5 (RAM) has a built-in backup memory.

NOTE

• When the MSC Board is to be replaced with a new one, use care not to replace IC5 

(RAM) together with the board.

Flash Memory

• Flash memory is used on the MSC Board for updating data when upgrading software.
• Insert a memory card, in which data has previously been written, into the socket on the 

MSC Board and perform the updating procedure.  This rewrites the data.

NOTE

• For details, refer to DIS/REASSEMBLY, ADJUSTMENT.
