Fusing Temperature Control
• Heater lamps are turned ON and OFF to keep the surface temperatures of the Heating
Roller and Fusing Roller at predetermined levels.
• The surface temperatures of the Heating Roller and Lower Fusing Roller are detected by
thermistors that convert temperatures to corresponding electrical signals.
• If the surface temperatures of the Heating Roller and Lower Fusing Roller run inordi-
nately high, power to the heater lamps is shut down.
• The fusing temperature during copy cycles can be fine-adjusted using “Tech. Rep.
Mode.”
