7. MAINTENANCE
7.1. Introduction
Maintenance of DecalMATE is carried out at two levels:
The FIRST is at laboratory level: a simple routine maintenance can prevent the likelihood of more serious
problems. Minimal routine maintenance is required by laboratory personnel that use DecalMATE. The
following procedure is recommended to ensure optimal performance of DecalMATE.
The SECOND level of maintenance is technically more detailed and is beyond the scope of normal
laboratory personnel. The unit requires once a year a technical preventive maintenance to maintain the high
performance and prevent any malfunctioning.

7.2. After each run
Ensure that DecalMATE is generally kept clean after each use. Do not use abrasives or sharp instruments
that may damage surfaces.
Check the reagent quality through the Reagents status icon.
Wipe off the under surface of the cavity cover when the cassettes rack is unloaded, also clean the seal
cover.
Clean the surface of working, the blue working area and the removable cut out slot.
