After control, user can either press:
•
IF ALL sample decalcification is completed, press the DECALCIFICATION COMPLETED icon, bones
are already completely decalcified and decalcification phase can be interrupted; acid is immediately
unloaded and the next reagent WATER RINSING is loaded.
Place the rack with cassettes back into the chamber with decal solution, with the small white disk in
position. Place the white chamber cover back on, in alignment with the BLUE ARROW Head and Linear
marker.

For samples still requiring continued decalcification press CONTINUE ACTUAL DECALCIFICATION
icon: no modification is required, the program continues up to default time.
Place the rack with cassettes back into the chamber with decal solution, with the small white disk in
position. Place the white chamber cover back on, in alignment with the BLUE ARROW Head and Linear
marker.

For samples still requiring continued and prolonged decalcification press EXTEND DECALCIFICATION
icon. After clicking this icon, it will appear a new window: digit extra time (hr and min) required then click
on extend icon.

marker.
Field “Extend decalcification for:” maximum value possible is 239 hours 59 minutes.
Particular attention must be paid to the level of reagent inside the tanks on completion of
each process to avoid low reagent situation when starting a new program.
