Click the Warning Messages check box to make changes to Diagnostic parameters
DEFAULT
Clicking the
DEFAULT
button will reset all parameters on the current menu to
defaults. This does not take effect until it is saved to the scanner with the
SEND/NO
SAVE
or
SEND/SAVE
buttons.
Warning Messages
Default:

Disabled, Enabled
When enabled, allows you to enable and setup warnings for NOVRAM, Laser Current,
Operating Temperature and Lifetime Hours.
NOVRAM Corrupt Warning
Default:
Enabled
Options:
Enabled, Disabled
When enabled, and when status = enabled, a 7 character message is output when-
ever an error is detected in the NOVRAM. The message repeats one time every 30
minutes until the NOVRAM is successfully reprogrammed.
Warning message for corrupt NOVRAM can appear in one of three formats:
<NVRAM-F>
Indicates a problem with factory settings (call customer support)
<
NVRAM-C
> Indicates that the user should reprogram and send a <Z> command.
Note:
The Customer settings message may never be seen since, by default, warning
messages are turned off. Only if a user enables the NOVRAM warning messages
<K”1,,,1> AFTER the error has occurred will the <NVRAM-C> message be displayed.
<NVRAM-D>
Indicates a problem with diagnostic lifetime accumulated data (call
customer support).
Laser Current
High Current.
If enabled, a user-defined message up to seven characters is displayed
whenever the laser current exceeds 125% of the reference value. The message
repeats one time every 30 minutes until the overcurrent condition is eliminated. The
value of 125% cannot be altered.
Low Laser Current
. If enabled, a user-defined message up to seven characters when-
ever the laser current falls below 30% of the reference value. The message repeats
one time every 30 minutes until the low current condition is eliminated. The value of
30% cannot be altered.
