Raster Controls
You can adjust raster motor speed (sweep rate) and the upper and lower limits of the
raster sweep by adjusting the top and bottom offsets.
The screen below shows a 0 at the top of the raster range and 255 at the bottom. The
range of these settings (0 to 255) corresponds to a 36° arc, the maximum raster
sweep.
DEFAULT
Clicking the
DEFAULT
button will reset all parameters on the current menu to
defaults. This does not take effect until it is saved to the scanner with the
SEND/NO
SAVE
or
SEND/SAVE
buttons.
When you open the raster setup menu, you will immediately notice the oscillating up
and down movement of the dashed red line, representing the movement of the raster
arc. This arc will change dynamically in response to adjustments in the settings.
Note
: Raster sweeps are only counted during a read cycle (continuous, triggered, and
read rate). Raster sweeps are NOT counted when the raster motor is off (when scan
motor is off), disabled, set to straight line operation (top and bottom offsets equal), or
when performing a self-calibration.
Raster Status
Default:
Enabled
Options:
Enabled, Disabled
When disabled, the raster sweep will park at the current Top Offset setting.
Top Offset
Default:
85
Options:
0 to 255
Note:
Assigning a larger value to Top Offset than Bottom Offset will park the raster
mirror in its “home” (default) position. For “straight line” operation, set bottom offset
equal to top offset.
Bottom Offset
Default:
170
Options:
0 to 255
