second) on a Frame Relay service. Use MCK’s Bandwidth calculator.

T1/PRI Port (WAN3) Frame Relay Parameters
This section provides instruction for the configuration of the Leased TI line that is connecting the EXTender
7000 to the Gateway.
1.
Set the
Clock Source
parameter to
T1PRI_Port1
.
•
Set to Port 1 if the network is providing timing, or Port 2 to use the EXTender 7000 for the timing
source.
Note
: Point-to -Point (RVP_Direct) T1’s
DO NOT
provide timing.

Go to the
T1/PRI Port
Setup Menu to perform the basic setup for the T1/PRI ports and channels. This
menu is located in the WAN submenu structure, and can be accessed using the following path:

Configuration->WAN->T1/PRI_Port(WAN3)->T1/PRI_Port_1

Ignore the following parameters, as they do not apply to Leased T1 configurations:

Set the
Line Code
and
Framing
parameters with values provided by the Telco company (CO).
7.
Select a value for the
Line Build Out
parameter to attenuate the signal before it leaves the extender.
Use a value recommended by the Telco company (CO).
