The following diagram shows how to connect the industrial router to a client over the
public telephone
network.
Using this type of connection, the industrial router can be accessed over the telephone network via its
serial interfaces (see
Serial Interfaces
) and LAN interface.
In the following example, the client is a PC with a modem connection.
