7.6.2_LOADING AND OPERATION OF THE DOUBLE TWINE BINDER
For the twine binder to work well we advise using propylene twine, with count from 500 to 750, or a natural
twine from 200 to 400 m/Kg.
The binder of your round baler can also work with other types of twine however.
CAUTION!
The loading and threading of the twine for binding must be done with the
engine and electronic control unit off.
CAUTION!
Beware of the blade of the binder when doing work in its
proximity.
Before working in the area of the binders, insert the safety lock
(stop) to prevent crushing or amputation of the hands.
Lift the cover and places the spools of twine.
Check that the starting position of the twine
guide trolley is as shown in the figure.
Otherwise turn the pulley
"P"
anticlockwise by
hand until the correct position is reached.
Connect the spools
"A
and
B"
and the spools
"C
and
D"
to each other, tying the inside end of
spool
"A"
to the external end of spool
"B"
and
likewise for the spools
"C
and
D"
.
Make sure that the knots are tight and not large
enough to hamper the movement of the twine.
Pass the two twines through the twine braking devices located on the left
side under the spool holder.
Take the twine
"S1"
and wrap it around the pulley
"P"
about one and a
half times, then insert it between the knurled draw rollers and let it dangle
about 15 to 20 cm from the last twine guide ring.
Then take the twine
"S2"
, insert it between the knurled draw rollers and let
it dangle about 15 to 20 cm from the last twine guide ring.
