12.2_START AND FORMATION OF THE BALE
Excessive transmission noise.
Loose or dry chains
Lubricate the chains.
The bale is badly formed or
conical.
Pick-up mainly on one side of the
swathe.
Pick-up moving evenly from one
side to the other.
The chains jump over the teeth of the
gears.
The tensioners are loose.
Stretch the chains by adjusting the
tensioners.
The gears or chains are worn.
Replace the gears or the chains.
12.3_TWINE BINDING/NET WRAPPING
The twine falls off the side of the
bale.
Twine side limiters too far out.
Position limiters further in.
The twine does not stay on the
bale.
Binding started without product on
the pick-up.
Always pick-up with some product
on the pick-up.
Twine braking device too tight.
Loosen the twine braking clamps.
The twine is pulled by the bale but
the twine guide trolley does not
move.
The transmission belt is slipping.
Try oiling the moving parts of the
variable pulley.
Twines cannot be cut.
The blade is worn.
Turn the blade of the twine cutter
around or replace it.
The twines do not pass the twine cutter
blade.
Adjust the stopping screw of the blade
support arm.
The net is not distributed well over
the bale.
Net with mesh too large.
Use a standard net.
Incorrect path of the net.
Check that the net has been
inserted correctly.
Spool brake not correct.
Adjust the side spring tensioners.
Excessive or insufficient pressure
between the rollers.
Adjust the side spring tensioners.

Clutch slipping.
Bale too heavy or too big diameter.
Reduce bale weight or diameter.

Replace the clutch plates (Follow the
instruction described in the cardan
shaft manual).
Safety bolt breaks down.
