Note:
In this case,
"Location" indicates where
the device is located, not
the device’s
communication address.
For MR Protocol, the
Location and Device
Address are the same
thing.
Example: Setting Location <pa#>
The REMOTE instrument was preconfigured at the factory for
Location 0. To view the current location configured on the instrument
in ASCII mode,
1. Type:
<?>
This command displays the current Location among the
other parameters.
To change the location to location 3:
2. Type:
<pa3>
Response:
<pa3> Location = 3
Example: Enable Alarm Channel <aa#>
The REMOTE instrument was preconfigured at the factory to alarm on
the first channel. To view the currently configured alarm channel,
1. Type:
<?>
This command displays the current alarm channels within
the parameter list.
