EVERY 4500 HOURS MAINTENANCE
Maintenance for every 10, 100, 250 and 500 hours should be performed at the same time.
METHOD FOR CLEANING KDPF
Contact your Komatsu distributor for cleaning of the KDPF.
METHOD FOR CLEANING FUEL DOSER
For cleaning the fuel doser, ask your Komatsu distributor.
CHECK FOR MISSING FUEL SPRAY PREVENTION CAP ON FUEL DOSER PIP-
ING, HARDENING OF RUBBER
Check the fuel spray prevention caps (1) and (2) visually or with a finger to see if any of them has slipped off, or
if the rubber portion is hardened.
If there is any problem, the related parts must be replaced. Ask your Komatsu distributor for replacement.

METHOD FOR CHANGING OIL IN HYDRAULIC TANK, CLEANING HYDRAULIC
TANK STRAINER

WARNING
• Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot and may cause burn in-
jury. Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
• When removing the oil filler cap, the oil may spurt out. Turn it slowly to release the internal pres-
sure, then remove it carefully.
Refill capacity: 670 ℓ

• Container to catch the drained oil
• Socket wrench handle
