• Wear the protective eyeglasses and rubber gloves always when removing and installing the battery.
• Be careful that the battery electrolyte does not spill out when carrying the battery.
If it gets on your clothes or on your skin, immediately wash it off with a large amount of clean water. If it
gets in your eyes, wash the eyes immediately with clean water, then consult a doctor for medical treat-
ment.
• When installing the battery, secure it with the battery mounting hardware.
Tightening torque of the mounting nut (2)
(2A) (Lower side):1.47 to 1.96 Nm {0.15 to 0.2 kgm}
(2B) (Upper side):11.8 to 19.6 Nm {1.2 to 2.0 kgm}
