4.
To bleed air, start the engine, raise the coolant tempera-
ture to the position (A) of gauge, and then stop the engine.
5.
After the coolant temperature drops, check the coolant lev-
el in the radiator and reservoir tank.
If the coolant level is low, add Non-Amine Engine Coolant
(AF-NAC) of the same density as the one in the radiator.
REMARK
• For refilling the radiator with coolant, remove the cover
(3), loosen the radiator cap slowly (4), and check that
the pressure is released. Then push the cap in, loosen
it further, and remove it.
• Check that the coolant level is above the hatched por-
tion shown in the right figure. Add coolant through the
filler port if it is insufficient.
• After adding the coolant, install the radiator cap (4).
In cold weather, see “COLD WEATHER OPERA-
TION”.
NOTICE
Refilling and draining function of the radiator cap (4)
may be faulty if coolant level in the reservoir tank is
obviously above FULL level all the time before the en-
gine is started (coolant temperature is low). Replace
the radiator cap (4) by referring to “METHOD FOR RE-
PLACING RADIATOR CAP”.

WARNING
Immediately after the engine is stopped, its parts and oil are still very hot, and may cause burn injury.
Wait for the temperature to go down, and then start the work.
1.
Open the engine room door.
2.
Pull out the dipstick (G) and wipe the oil off with a cloth.
3.
Fully insert the dipstick (G) into the dipstick pipe, then pull
