If the load current exceeds the rated current but is below the overcurrent level, an overload
timer begins counting. The rate at which the timer increments is a function of load current.
The higher the current, the faster the increments. When the counter reaches the limit, the
Error Overload (E.OL) fault is triggered and the output to the motor is shut off. At this point,
the inverter begins a cool-down period where the inverter is allowed to cool before the fault
can be reset. When the drive displays a No Error Overload (E.nOL) message, the inverter
has reached an acceptable temperature level and can be restarted.
The overload curves are
dependent on the inverter
housing size.
