people nearby.
(6) Before you start the engine, check that all the levers, pedals and
switches are in their neutral or OFF positions.
13-2-2 Precautions when setting outriggers

(1) Points to note when choosing outrigger setting positions
1) Avoid areas which are likely to suffer such problems as listed
below, and set the outrigger floats on steel plates etc. of
adequate areas and rigidity to guard against potentially weak
soil.
・
Surfaces paved with plain asphalt
・
Surfaces paved with thin concrete
・
Brick or cobbled road surfaces
・
Areas where soil under the road paving has been eroded by
water to leave a void
・
Areas where the soil is very dry but soft
・
Road shoulders or near construction excavations
Set the crane level with full consideration for the above points.
