14-1 How to read the working area chart
(541A-0146-2E)
The working area chart indicates the relationship between the working radius and height above the ground for each
combination of the boom length, jib length, boom angle and jib offset angle.
(1) The working area chart does not include deflection of the boom and jib.
With a load suspended, the working radius will increase slightly due to deflection under the load.
(2) The working area chart is for the crane with all outriggers fully
extended (all round).
(3) Points A and B are at the same working radius, but point A
indicates the boom angle and point B indicates the height above
the ground.
