Installing the Reader
When the connections ar
e plugged in, the device satisfies the pr
otection class IP65 (RRU and ARU).
10.1
Selecting the Installation Site

When installing the unit in cabinets or shelves, make sure ther
e is sufficient ventilation.

When selecting the installation location, make sure ther
e is sufficient space ar
ound the unit for
appropriate dissipation of the heat generated by the unit.

Do not expose the unit to inadmissible heat or fir
e.
►
Do not install the device close to the sources of heat, e.g. heating.
►
Do not place anything with a naked flame on the device.
►
Make sure that the maximum operating temperature from –20 to +55°C is not exceeded.
►
Make sur
e that the support surface has a sufficient load-bearing capacity/str
ength.
NOTICE
Risk of material damage due to the screws screwed into the reader housing too deep!
If the screws are screwed into the r
eader housing deeper than 10 mm, the housing is no longer water
proof.

When mounting the reader, make sure that the screws are screwed into the unit housing no deeper
than 10 mm.
