For this OK state, an average value is saved in the IPC 300. This value is mon-
itored with a tolerance range of
±
10 %. This serves to compensate for small
imbalances in the load.
If a load changes in a strand so that it goes beyond the tolerance range, the
remaining load elements are at risk as they are subject to too high a current.
The IPC 300 reacts to this by reporting a load failure in the strand affected.
This means the customer is able to detect the faulty load element and replace
it.
For this, it is recommended you configure the power reduction as described in
the following:
Config.level
r
Ext.current sensors
r
Ext.current sensor2
r
Power reduction
The power reduction activated in this manner automatically reacts when the tol-
erance range around the average value described above is no longer complied
with (load change).
The IPC 300 reduces the power in line with the extent of the load change, there-
by protecting the remaining load elements until the component is replaced.
