Description
Subordinate control
loop
U
2
, U, I
2
, I, P
Subordinate control loops are used to eliminate or compen-
sate for external disturbances, such as mains voltage fluctua-
tions and changes in load resistance, that would have a
negative effect on the control process.
The U setting is used when the load voltage should be linear
to the setpoint specification.
The I setting is used when the load current should be linear to
the setpoint specification.
The following subordinate control loops have proven advanta-
geous for heating elements that do not have linear tempera-
ture behavior or that are subject to aging:
U
2
is used for:
- Positive temperature coefficient, molybdenum disilicide
- If
R
≈
is constant
- Brightness controls.
I
2
is used for:
- Negative temperature coefficient (TC)
P is used for:
- Temperature-dependent temperature coefficient
- General applications
- SiC load with automatic aging compensation
Soft start
No
This setting determines the starting behavior of the power
controller after power ON and is deactivated per default.
Yes
"Yes" means that a soft start is performed after power ON.
Soft start duration
0 to 10 to 65535 s
Specifies the duration of the soft start.
Voltage supply U-
N(V)
115, 230, or 400 V
Specifies which voltage supply is used to operate the power
section of the power controller.
Customer-spec.
voltage
400 to 30 V
Here any value can be entered for another voltage supply net-
work.
Max. load voltage
0 to 95 V
For voltage supply network AC 115 V
0 to 210 V
For voltage supply network AC 230 V
0 to 380 V
For voltage supply network AC 400 V
Note:
For U- or U
2
control the value entered here is the load voltage
output by the controller at 100% setpoint value. For all other
control types, the power controller limits the load voltage to
the value entered here.
