6. Install and tighten the NEW cross bolts and washer assemblies (8) to 61 N.m (45 ft. lbs.).
7. Position and install the connecting rod and bearing caps on the crankshaft. See

8. Install the crankshaft rear oil seal. See

9. Install the crankshaft sprocket. Refer to

10. Install the timing chain and camshaft sprocket. Refer to

11. Install the timing chain cover. See

12. Install the oil pick-up tube and oil pan. See

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and secure vehicle on hoist. Refer to
Vehicle Quick Reference/Hoisting - Standard Procedure
.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to
Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal
.
4. Remove vibration damper bolt.
5. Place Crankshaft Insert 8450 (2) into crankshaft nose.
6. Position Puller 1023 (1) on damper. Turn puller forcing screw until damper releases from crankshaft.
7. Remove the crankshaft vibration damper.
