10 Disassembly
The equipment must be disassembled and disposed of in an
environmentally-friendly manner if it is not in use anymore.
10.1 Safety
Personnel
Disassembly may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Qualified electricians only may carry out work on the electrical
system.
Inappropriate disassembly
WARNING!
Risk of injury due to inappropriate
disassembly!
Residual energy and sharp-edged components of
the equipment or tools may cause injuries.
Therefore:
– Before starting the disassembly process, ensure
that there is sufficient space for the whole
procedure
– Take care regarding sharp-edged components.
– Keep the work place tidy and clean! Discarded
components and tools may be a source of
accidents.
– Professionally disassemble units: Take note of
the high dead weight of some parts. Use hoists,
if necessary.
– Secure units to avoid them falling or tumbling
down.
– Call the manufacturer in case of any lack of
clarity.
Electrical system
DANGER!
Danger of fatal electric shock!
Contact with energised electrical units/components
is perilous. Electrical components which are
energised may be subject to uncontrolled
movements and may lead to most severe injuries.
Therefore:
– Definitely switch and cut off the electrical supply
before starting the disassembly-
