Procedure

Step 1

Determine a network connection mode.

Direct connection: applicable to a configuration of 2 to 4 CNENs and 1 to 4 SUCs

Switch connection: applicable to a configuration of 2 to 4 CNENs and 1 to 18 SUCs

Step 2

Build up a network containing the cluster NAS engine and storage control unit.

Direct connection:

Connect 4 or 8 Fibre Channel ports on each CNEN respectively to any 8 Gbit/s Fibre Channel
port separately on SUCs A and B.
