2.
Connect the expansion interface module in controller A to expansion module A of a SUD,
and connect the expansion interface module in controller B to expansion module B of a
SUD.
3.
All EXP expansion ports on the storage devices only connect to the PRI expansion ports.
4.
If the storage system is configured with two or more SUDs, set up two or multiple loops
according to the number of expansion ports on the SUC, and evenly allocate the SUDs to
the loops.
5.
Each 6 Gbit/s SAS expansion port on the SUC can be connected to a maximum of twelve
SUDs.
6.
Each 4 Gbit/s FC expansion port on the SUC can be connected to a maximum of five SUDs.
7.
Except that the configuration SUD must be directly connected to controller A and controller
B, all other SUDs in the same expansion loop must form two independent and redundant
links to achieve optimal network reliability.
Connecting One SUD to One SUC
, one SUC is connected to one SUD, creating an expansion loop.

Connecting Two SUDs to One SUC
As shown in
, one SUC is connected to two SUDs. Each expansion loop is allocated
one SUD.
