9 Installing Monitoring Devices

Issue 01 (2019-03-05)

If a ground copper bar is installed on the top of the rack rail, install a rack environment
unit at the 40 U position. A cable manager should be installed between the rack
environment unit and the ground bar.



If no ground copper bar is installed on the top of the rack rail, install a rack environment
on the top of the rack rail.

Procedure

Step 1

Determine the mounting holes for the rack environment unit in the cabinet based on the
engineering layout diagram and install floating nuts.

Step 2

Secure the rack environment unit to the cabinet by tightening the M6 screws on the left and
right mounting ears clockwise, as shown in

Figure 9-16
