9.12 Installing a T/H Sensor
A T/H sensor collects the temperature and humidity data of the front and rear doors of IT
cabinets. The air conditioner controls the temperature and humidity in the contained aisles
based on the data collected by the T/H sensor.
Prerequisites
In the smart module scenario, the supply-air control and return-air control of the air conditioner are not
recommended. When a cold aisle containment is configured, it is advised to adopt cold-aisle control;
when a hot-aisle containment is configured, it is advised to adopt hot-aisle control.
Term description
Supply-air control by air conditioner: The air conditioner controls the temperature at
front doors of air conditioners so that the temperature is close to the temperature set on
the air conditioner.
Return-air control by air conditioner: The air conditioner controls the temperature at rear
doors of air conditioners so that the temperature is close to the temperature set on the air
conditioner.
Cold-aisle control by air conditioner: The air conditioner controls the temperature at
front doors of IT cabinets so that the temperature is close to the temperature set on the air
conditioner.
Hot-aisle control by air conditioner: The air conditioner controls the temperature at rear
doors of IT cabinets so that the temperature is close to the temperature set on the air
conditioner.
