The
purp ose
of
a
lev
eling
circuit
is
to
pro
vide
constan
t

w
er,
indep enden

of
the
load,
and
minimize

w
er
v
ariations

ersus
frequency
.
External
dio
de
detector
lev
eling
is
used
in
applications
where
it
is
desired
to
con
tinuously
lev
el
the
p o
w
er
at
some
p oint
outside
the
signal
generator
with
an
external
dio
de
detector.
When
frequency
dep enden
t
losses
are
in
v
olv
ed,
the
RF
output
p o
w
er
at
the
end
of
the
signal
path
will
not
ha
v
e
a
constan
t
amplitude
o
v
er
the
signal
generator
frequency
range.
F
or
example,
if
a
cable
is
used
at
the
output
of
the
signal
generator
that
has
a
constan
t

dB/GHz
loss,
