The

command
clears
the

register,
Questionable
Ev
en
t
register,
and
the
Standard
Status
Ev
en
t
register.
It
also
clears
the
fron
t
panel
error
queue.
Sending
the
\*CLS"
command
sets
all
bits
in
the
Op eration
Ev
en
t
register,
Questionable
Ev
en
t
register,
and
the
Standard
Status
Ev
en
t
register
to
0.
Clearing
these
registers
causes
bits
3,
5,
and
7
in
the
Status
Byte
register
to
b e
temp orarily
set
to
0.
The
\*CLS"
command
also
clears
the
HP-IB
error
rep orting
queue
and
the
Request-for-OPC
ag.
If
the
*CLS
command
immediately
follo
ws
a
PR
OGRAM
MESSA
GE
TERMINA
TOR,
the
output
queue
and
the
MA
V
bit
will
also
b e
cleared.
The
*CLS
command
do es
not
clear
data
memories
or
an
y
instrumen
t
settings.
