HPMM node number
The numerals in the status box indicate each HPMM's UCN node address. The odd address is always
associated with the primary HPMM.
HPMM operational states
The HPMM can be in various operational states. The status states are defined in Table 34 and Table 35.
Primary HPMM status
The possible status of the primary HPMM is defined in the following table with the color of the text
indicated.
Table 34 HPM Status Display
– Primary HPMM Status
Term
Definition
OK
(Text color
– blue)
Processing in the primary HPMM is in progress.
ALIVE
(Text color
– yellow)
Power has been applied to the primary HPMM, but
no database or personality program has been loaded
into the HPMM.
ALIVESF
(Text color
– yellow)
Power has been applied to the primary HPMM, but
no database or personality program has been loaded
into the HPMM. One of the powerup diagnostic tests
has failed, but the HPMM is still capable of a program
load.
IDLE
(Text color
– yellow)
The database and personality program has been
loaded into the primary HPMM, but no processing is
in progress.
LOADING
(Text color
– yellow)
The HPMM is being loaded with its personality
program and data.
NOTCONFG
(Text color
– yellow)
There is no UCN node configured for the HPMM’s
UCN node address.
POWERON
(Text color
– yellow)
The HPMM is responding to the UCN but has not
performed its self-tests. This is a transitory state that
occurs when the HPMM is first powered on.
CONFGMIS
(Text color
– red)
The configured node type for the HPMM’s UCN node
address does not match the actual node type.
FAIL
(Text color
– red)
The HPM has a Hard failure and access to IOP
status and data is unavailable. HPM control functions
have ceased. Effectively, this is a total failure.
IDLESF
(Text color
– red)
The HPMM is in the Idle state and has one or more
Soft failures.
OFFNET
(Text color
– red)
The HPMM is not responding on the UCN because 1)
it does not exist, 2) power is off, or
3) there is a hardware failure that prohibits a
response.
SOFTFAIL
(Text color
– red)
The HPMM is in the Run state and has one or more
Soft failures.
Note: The EHPM differs from the HPM since it uses FTE cables that provide an IP Address. The EHPM
node must receive an IP address to function properly. If at least one FTE cable is not connected, then the
