Upon power up, the analyzer displays the message

INITIALIZING

for 17 seconds. Then it beeps and the analyzer will perform

SYSTEM

DIAGNOSTICS

(a self-test of the analyzer components).

Following the self-test, the analyzer displays the software version and the
current date and time for ﬁ ve seconds before displaying the Main Menu.
