Upgrading vController Software for a Client
You may need to upgrade the vController on just one or more Clients on the Grid. This can happen if,
for example, the Client was shut down when software for the entire Grid was upgraded, or you added
a Client to the Grid at a later time.
When a Client needs to be upgraded it displays in red on the Client Software tab of the vController
Manager.
1.
In the left navigation tree of GridControl, click on vController Manager.
The vController Manager window opens to the right.
2.
Click the Client Software tab.
A table of Clients on the Grid displays. Note that Clients whose software needs to be
upgraded display in red.
3.
Right-click on the Client whose vController you need to upgrade (in red), and select Upgrade
from the short-cut menu.
A message box opens, informing you that the upgrade has started.
4.
When finished, click the OK button.
The Client no longer displays in red in the table.
