Upgrading Software for the Grid

Gridstore periodically releases upgrades for the Grid. Upgrading the Grid updates the vController on

all the Gridstore Storage Nodes and Clients on the Grid, and also GridControl where it is installed. As

part of the process, you are asked to stop all vStores before the Grid is upgraded.

Note:

If any Gridstore Storage Nodes are offline or disconnected during the upgrade, the latest

version of vController automatically installs on these Gridstore Storage Nodes as soon as they are

online and powered up again.

In the left navigation tree of GridControl, right-click on

The Grid, and select Upgrade from

the short-cut menu.
The Upgrade Grid Wizard opens.

Click the Next button.

The Stop vStore page of the wizard opens.

To stop all vStores, click the Stop vStores button.

When finished, click the Next button.

The Select Gridstore MSI File page opens.

Click the Browse button to locate and open the latest Gridstore software installation file.
