is near the bottom of the table it will be quicker to use the

The settings for Item Entry and Price Computing, while capable of being changed, have no effect
unless the GS8920 Printer is fitted with the factory installed Option

Ticket Header:-
2 .4 .3 .1 Header.
Hd n2
The GS8920 can print one or two lines of header information at the top of every ticket. This
information, comprising one or two lines each of 12 characters is entered by the user in to the
GS8920’s alpha name table as name number 49 and 50 where it is permanently stored and recalled
automatically each time a ticket is printed. If only one header line is selected then name number 49 is
used. If two lines are selected then names number 49 and 50 are used with name number 49 being
printed uppermost. The header lines can be printed in normal size or they can be enhanced as double
high, double wide or double high/double wide.

2 .4 .3 .3 Decimals, Average Weight.
dEC.Av 2
The number of decimal places from 0 to 5 in the average weight which is calculated by the GS8920.
To ensure no degradation in precision, the GS8920 will AUTOMATICALLY use this parameters
setting if it has more decimal places than the input weight from the weight indicator. If the weight
indicator has more decimal places than this setting, then the GS8920 will use the number of decimal
places which are used by the weight indicator.
Accordingly, if no more decimals are required than are used in the weight indicator’s weight, this
parameter could be set to 0 and the GS8920 allowed to automatically match the indicator’s decimal
places.
The GS8920 uses numbers up to 12 digits in its calculations and where multiplication is used the
GS8920 calculates a 24 digit result. Where division is used the GS8920 rounds up the result. This
assures the user of the UTMOST accuracy.
