page 7-17.
2 Set
AF
Generator
Freq. to 2.5 kHz.
Using the CURSOR CONTROL
knob, select AF Gen1 Freq.
Push the CURSOR CONTROL
knob. Rotate until 2.5 kHz or use
DATA keypad.
Push the CURSOR CONTROL
knob.

Turn on Mic1.
On the test panel toggle
TEST/MIC 1 to MIC 1.

Key transmitter.
On the test panel, press the PTT
switch to TX.
The modulation should be
≥
85%. This is displayed as AM
Depth on the top right of the
screen.
5 Un-key
the
transmitter.
On the test panel, press the PTT
switch to RX.
6 Activate
Spectrum
Analyzer.
Turn the CURSOR CONTROL
knob to the To Screen menu.
Select SPEC ANL. Push the
CURSOR CONTROL knob.
The Spectrum Analyzer will
appear.

Set Span to 0.03
MHz.
Turn the CURSOR CONTROL
knob to the SPAN field. Push the
CURSOR CONTROL knob. Use
the CURSOR CONTROL knob
or the DATA keypad to input
0.03 MHz. Push the CURSOR
CONTROL knob.

Set Ref Level to 50
dBm.
Turn the CURSOR CONTROL
knob to Ref Level. Push the
CURSOR CONTROL knob to
select. Use the CURSOR
CONTROL knob or DATA
keypad to input 50 dBm. Push
the CURSOR CONTROL knob.
