Replacing the NIBP Unit

Service Life of the NIBP Unit
The NIBP pump unit is able to perform approximately 100,000 measurements. If the unit is used
for a longer period of time, air leakage may occur and proper function may not be achieved.
Periodically replace the NIBP pump unit to maintain proper performance.

Disassembly and Assembly
Replace the unit with the following procedure by paying attention to the connectors and tubing.
1. Remove the NIBP unit (bottom) from the main
body (4 screws).
2. Remove the NIBP bracket from the bottom
plate (4 screws).
3. Remove the NIBP unit from the bracket
(2 screws) and replace it with a new one
(inverse procedure).
4. Re-install the bracket (with NIBP module).
5. Re-install the NIBP unit into the main body.
6. Press the Menu → Maintenance →
Parts Usage Time keys and press the
Reset (password “7000”) key for “NIBP
measurement frequency”. Press the
Yes (Hold 3sec.) key to reset the usage for
the NIBP measurement frequency.
7. Turn the power ON, and check that the initialization of NIBP unit is normally completed.
C A U T I O N
The air connector should be connected without force. If force is applied, the
air connector may loosen causing air leakage, and correct NIBP readings
cannot be acquired.
