INPUT SELECTION
Firmware 15 for the Axe-Fx III introduced a new way of selecting between analog and digital input sources. Each
of the available inputs has an option in settings for ANALOG or DIGITAL. The Analog inputs are “hard wired”,
meaning that when Input 1 is set to “ANALOG” it uses the Input 1 jacks, Input 2 uses the Input 2 jacks, and so on.
When any input is set to “DIGITAL” it uses a shared digital input source, which can be set globally to your choice of
AES, SPDIF, or USB. The concept is illustrated below.
