Removing an Internal Disk Drive
This section describes how to remove the internal disk drive.
Danger
Make sure that the mains power supply is disconnected from the module
unit before continuing.

You can remove disk drive storage device from the enclosure as follows (see
Figure 18 and Figure 19):
1. Follow the instructions in Chapter 3 to dismount the module
unit from a rack if additional access is required.
2. Ensure that the mains power cable has been removed from the
rear of the module unit.
3. Unscrew the four screws (1) that secure the drive cover plate
(2) to the enclosure.
4. Remove the drive cover plate from the enclosure.
5. Unscrew the captive locking screw (3) and disengage the disk
extraction lever (4) to disengage the drive from the backplane
connectors.
6. Slide the drive carrier assembly (5) from the enclosure.
7. Remove the drive (6) from the drive carrier (7) by removing
the 4 retaining screws (8).
8. To reassemble the module unit, reverse the above instructions
and follow the instructions in Chapter 3 to reassemble the
module unit.
