EVACUATING THE SIMULATOR

In the event that either the access ramp does not work or the simulator has come to rest in a position such
that the ramp would be of no use, the simulator can be evacuated using the emergency ladder. See Figure
4-6. An emergency ladder is located in a compartment on the back porch of the simulator near the door.
The compartment is opened by twisting the recessed handle and lifting the handle up. The ladder is
dropped over the side of the simulator. To descend the ladder, place one foot on a rung and the other foot
on the next rung with the foot facing the opposite direction. In effect you climb down the side of the
ladder.
