Setting Up a Manual Threat

1) Select the type of aircraft to be used as a threat.

2) Select the relative altitude and distance to the threat (how close the threat will come).

a) A positive value for altitude means that the threat will be above the aircraft.

b) A negative value for altitude means the threat will be below the aircraft.

c) A positive value of distance means the threat will be off the right wing.

d) A negative value of distance means the threat will be off the left wing.

3) Enter the value for the bearing. The bearing is what angle the threat is to the aircraft when
the Closest Point of Approach (CPA) is reached.

4) Enter the threat’s airspeed and whether the threat is originally above, below, or level with
the aircraft.

5) Enter the threat’s rate of climb (if applicable).

6) Select the MANUAL THREAT ENABLE direct entry button to enable the threat.
