Wind Set

The Wind Set overlay is accessed by selecting the WIND SET overlay button located on the
Environment/Visual page. See Figure 3-48. This page is used to set and modify the surface wind and
cruise wind speed, direction, and altitude. These settings override the normal wind settings only when
normal winds are not modified using another page. The Wind Set overlay is divided into three boundary
boxes; Surface Wind, Cruise Wind, and Wind Modifiers and Overrides. The Surface and Cruise Wind
boundary boxes each have three data entry buttons for entering values for wind SPEED, DIRECTION,
and MINIMUM or MAXIMUM ALTITUDE. To close the WIND SET overlay, select the OK button,
CANCEL or select the "X" located on the upper right corner of the overlay.
