TAKEOFF PLOT
The Takeoff Plot page is accessed by selecting the TAKEOFF PLOT page button on the Map Collar or
by selecting the TAKEOFF PLOT page button on the Master Index page. See Figure 3-70 This page
depicts the aircraft takeoff path. The active airport and runway identifiers are displayed in the upper right
corner.
The Takeoff Plot page is divided into three areas. The upper left portion of the page is the Takeoff Plan
view, showing the runway and the aircraft centerline deviation and distance from the runway. The runway
heading is shown on the left side of the runway. The middle left portion of the page shows a profile view
of the takeoff path. A line representing the climb gradient will be shown. The lower left portion of the
page displays the V
2
deviation graph. The bottom right portion of the page contains takeoff data line
items detailing information shown on the various graphs.
The right portion of the page also has direct entry, data entry, and page buttons. These buttons are Map
Scale, Track Erase, Snap Take, and Snap Recall. The Map Scale button allows changing the scale of the
plot between 1.0 and 15.0 nautical miles. The length of the runway will be scaled relative to its actual
size. The map scale will default to 5.0 nautical miles.
