MAINTENANCE INDEX

The Maintenance Index page contains page buttons for all maintenance and engineering development
related pages and indexes. The maintenance related pages are described in the IOS Operation and
Maintenance Manual or the Software Utilities Manual. This page is password protected and cannot be
accessed by the Instructors.

3.43.

MALFUNCTION INDEX

The Malfunction Index is accessed by selecting the MALFUNCTION INDEX page button located on the
Master Index page or by selecting the MALF INDEX page button on the collar. See Figure 3-56. This
page is a menu of malfunction categories. This page is used to select an aircraft system from which
malfunctions could be selected for a training session. When a Malfunction Category button is selected,
an overlay is displayed showing the malfunctions that can be set for the selected category. There is a
MALFUNCTION CLEAR direct entry button for clearing malfunctions from the simulation environment.
