SIMULATOR SAFETY

1.4.1.

Introduction

The information presented here is intended to familiarize an instructor as to the location and use of
emergency switches in the event an emergency condition arises during a training session. Every instructor
should read Section 4 of the IOS Instructor Operation Manual to become familiar with hazards and
emergency procedures.

1.4.2.

Emergency Power Off Push Button

The Emergency Power Off is a round, red, illuminated push button located on the back wall of the
Instructor Station next to the simulator entrance. When pressed, this switch removes power from the
simulator’s electrical and hydraulic systems. Figure 1-2 illustrates the location and appearance of the
Emergency Power Off push button.
