PROGRAM EDITING
CONTENTS OF A BLOCK
5.2.2 CONTENTS OF A BLOCK
When selecting either the EDIT BLOCK or INSERT BLOCK function, the
DRO will permit editing the indicated program as long as it is not protected.
The bottom of the screen will show the information assigned to each axis of the selected
block. This information is:
Name of the axis. It will correspond to the one defined by machine parameter Px00
for that axis.
Programmed position value. If the axis is not programmed in the block, no value will
be displayed.
Tool compensation. When the axis is programmed to work with tool compensation,
the type of compensation will be given by one of the following characters: “R+,
R-, L+, L-”.
The editing will be performed axis by axis highlighting the values of the selected axis.
Use the
keys to select another axis.
Only the position value and the type of tool compensation can be assigned to each
axis. After entering the desired value, press
for the DRO to assume the
value.
The position values can be entered by hand from the keyboard or they can be
assigned (by using the
key) the result of the last arithmetic operation executed
with the calculator function.
Use the
key to delete the last character entered and the
to set the axis
position value to 0.
When a rotary axis is displayed in “degrees-minutes-seconds”, use the
keys to select the previous or next fields of their values.
Press
after keying in each position value for the DRO to assume it.
Use the ASG TOOL function to assign the tool compensation to an axis as described
in this section.
The following options appear to the right of the screen and are selectable by means of
